Power Core Flow VinyasaYoga with Becky Power Core will be back later in the summer In this vigorous and athletic vinyasa class, you will create heat, build strength, flexibility and stamina through mindful movement. The first part of class may include HIIT high intensity interval training , core power sequences that focus on abs and core stabilizers, and lots of sun salutation variations This will warm your body in preparation for arms balances, inversions and backbends in the latter part of class. Be prepared to sweat and find your edge on the journey to power. Sequences are designed to ease the common aches of pregnancy and to strengthen your body through pregnancy safe poses. Moms and babies are welcome as classes are sequenced to include core strengthening options for those who are postpartum.

I'd love to see you in a virtual or in-person class or private session soon. A few things to note: I don't burn incense during practice. The room is usually kept a bit warm. I embrace both old-school yoga techniques as well as modern movement techniques. Lets work together soon! Becky is a music-loving southern lady with very little drawl but a lot of hospitality. Her love for yoga has changed the way she approaches herself, her loved ones and the world she lives in, and she thinks it's for the better. Her classes are heavily influenced by her personal practice of Ashtanga yoga, where the asana is athletic and the movement is methodical and mindful. Becky's classes are taught from the heart, honoring the teachings that have and are still being passed down to her by her teachers, but she likes to keep it light, too. Learning to observe our own patterns and responses is immensely deep work, so being able to do it with a sense of levity makes the process feel more balanced.

Non-mobile babies are welcome! Bring your baby and reconnect with your body and mind as well as other moms and moms to be. Why I teach yoga: I became a certified yoga instructor in in vinyasa yoga at Moksha Yoga Studio in Twisp and began teaching right away. I teach yoga to share the beauty and benefits of connecting your mind to your body through breath.

I teach because I have found that I learn more deeply about something when I teach it. Any body can do yoga. I believe this and teach from this bias… I find deep joy in teaching children and am also certified as a Radiant Child Yoga Teacher.. In , friends who desired prenatal and postnatal yoga classes encouraged me to pursue further training in this area so that I could teach them.

Always wanting to learn more, I studied with Anne Phyfe Palmer at 8 Limbs Yoga and Colette Crawford of Seattle Wholistic Center and gained over hours of specialized training in prenatal and postnatal yoga from I am also a DONA trained doula and childbirth educator. I found calm for my worry-prone mind by spending a lot of time upside down in head stands that came naturally to me.

My yoga practice became firmly rooted after the birth of my daughter in That year I left my Forest Service biology career, took on more responsibility in the family business and took care of my two wonderful and busy kids. My health and wellness took a nose-dive as a result of taking on too much and I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue. I began a daily yoga practice Yoga brought ease to my mind and body and continues to do so daily. Yoga has taught me that change is uncomfortable and challenging and through deep breaths and staying present, growth, understanding and strength will flow to me.
